At LiquidLEDs, we believe in the power of giving back. There are countless ways to help others in need, but for us, the answer was clear — light. Quite literally.
LED lighting offers numerous benefits — it’s efficient, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective in the long run. Yet, not everyone can afford to make the switch. For many households, even the cost of basic lighting can be unaffordable.
This is where we decided to give a little something back — to brighten lives, one bulb at a time.
The importance of lighting
Lighting plays a vital role in everyday life. From cooking and studying to simply feeling at home, it’s something most of us take for granted. Without it, simple tasks become difficult, and the quality of life can quickly diminish.
We also know that many people want to transition to LED lighting for its long-term savings and sustainability benefits, but affordability remains a barrier. So we chose to stay true to who we are and help through what we do best — quality lighting for everyone.
Volunteering
Our connection with The Salvation Army began in 2013, when members of our team volunteered at the StreetLevel store in Surry Hills. There, we saw first-hand the impact of community support and the incredible dedication of the volunteers who make it happen.
That experience showed us how much difference even a small act of help can make — and it became the start of an ongoing partnership.
Donating light bulbs
Since that first experience, we’ve continued to support The Salvation Army by donating LED light bulbs to the StreetLevel store. The team collects bulbs directly from our warehouse, which are then sold in-store at significantly reduced prices — making efficient, long-lasting lighting more accessible to everyone.
It’s a simple, sustainable cycle: our products help raise funds for The Salvation Army while also providing more people with access to better lighting. A small change that continues to create brighter outcomes for the community.
