False advertising, lumens not correct.

The site claims the 12W GLS clear bulb has 1500 lumens, when I received it the packaging says 1400 lumens. It’s definitely not bright enough and I’d like a refund.

Hello David, there is no false advertising. The information on the website is true and correct. The product box was printed before the bulb was manufactured; hence the information on the box is inaccurate. The actual lumen output for this product is 1528lm. I emailed you a spectrum test report to validate the data.

Watch colour temperature if trying to match existing lights

EDITED: I initially thought these bulbs were off in colour temperature, as they are noticeably warmer that 4 other brands of 4000K downlights/bulbs I have installed. The seller contacted and provided further stats which indicate these are technically 3900K. After further investigation, it appears my other downlight brands (reputable and not cheap) seem to be pushing at least 4500K and likely more towards 4700K+ for some of them. I don't mind the slightly cooler colour, but it's very irritating that many sellers/manufacturers are not accurately labelling their product (they might as well round up and say 5000K).

Other than the matching issue, so far these bulbs work well. It was not easy locating sufficiently bright 4000K E27s. They will do until I can replace oyster lights with something different, as I much prefer the lighting characteristics/spread of a COB downlight.

The bathroom, ceiling, and wall lights would reflect differently due to different surface types and colours. In addition, the bulbs in your wall lights and ceiling lights are diffused by the different frosted glass; hence the colour output would vary.
