The GU10 fitting is the standard spotlight bulb in modern Australian homes. It features two studs at the base spaced 10mm apart and uses a "push and twist" locking mechanism.
Unlike the older MR16 (which needs a transformer), the GU10 runs directly on 240V mains power.

Spotlights look similar, but the voltage matters:
GU10 (This Collection): 240V Mains. Twist-and-lock base with thick studs. No driver needed.
MR16 (12V): Low Voltage. Push-in base with thin pins. Requires a transformer. (Do not buy GU10s if you have 12V transformers).
Which Colour Temperature?
Warm White (2700K - 3000K): The standard for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas. Soft and inviting.
Natural White (4000K): Best for laundries, garages, and bathrooms where you need crisp, neutral light.
